Types of sheet metal processed by our machinery

Elmea processes a wide range of sheet metal thanks to motorised straighteners and feeding systems designed to ensure precision on every material. Cold-rolled sheet metal is the most popular material for shearing and stamping. This type of sheet metal offers excellent flatness and tight dimensional tolerances, which are essential in the automotive and household appliance manufacturing industries. Aluminium sheet metal is widely used where lightness combined with good conductivity is required.

Alloys 1050, 3003 and 5754 are processed daily for electrical components, heat sinks and panelling. High-purity (99.9%) copper sheets are essential for electrical contacts, bus bars and windings. Coated, galvanised, pre-painted or aluminised sheet metal provides protection against corrosion in structural work exposed to atmospheric agents. Fe-Si magnetic sheet metal, with thicknesses up to 0.35 mm, is used for transformer cores and electric motors thanks to its magnetic properties. Plastic laminates such as PVC, PET and polycarbonate offer lightweight solutions for panelling and electrical insulation. Finally, cardboard with weights of 200-600 g/m² is processed for packaging and die-cutting. Our systems handle thicknesses from 0.1 mm to 6 mm with micrometric adjustments.
